Rhode Island’s voter ID law will be in full effect for the September 9th primary. The Secretary of State’s Office will be offering free voter ID’s to voters that don’t have current identification.  The voter ID events will kick off July 16th and be held in various communities in July and August. There is a voter ID event scheduled for July 21st at Newport City Hall from 10-12.

 

Below is a list of upcoming dates and places where the public may obtain a FREE Voter ID, provided by the Office of Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis.

 

• July 16 - Eleanor Slater Hospital / Zambarano Unit, 1 pm - 3 pm

• July 21 - Newport City Hall - Lower Level, 10 am - 12 pm

• July 22 - New Shoreham Community Center, 12 pm - 2 pm

• July 23 - Richmond Senior Center, 10 am - 12 pm

• July 24 - Coventry Town Hall, 10 am - 12 pm

• July 25 - Cumberland Senior Center, 10 am - 12 pm

• July 30 - Central Falls City Hall, 10 am - 12 pm

• August 5 -South Kingstown Senior Center, 10 am - 12 pm

• August 6 -EPOCH Assisted Living, Prov. (Blackstone Blvd) 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
