After Cranston Mayor and Republican gubernatorial candidate Allan Fung told the story again about a fatal car accident he caused in 1989, he held a press conference yesterday to discuss it. According to the Journal Fung says he was 18-years-old and driving home from college when he "lost consciousness" and hit a 41-year-old Pawtucket man who was changing a tire. The charges were dropped when he was not indicted. He says neither drugs nor alcohol were involved and the crash was thoroughly investigated before his record was expunged. Fung says he wanted the public to know what happened because he's running for Governor.
