Deadbeat with Mark Karan at the Knickerbocker

DeadBeat to play with Mark Karan at the \\r\\nKnickerbocker on\\r\\nMarch 15, 2014 to benefit the\\r\\nOral Cancer Foundation\\r\\n \\r\\nWesterly, RI - The evening of Saturday, March 15, will be a very special night at the Knickerbocker. DeadBeat, the area’s premier Grateful Dead tribute band, with special guest, Mark Karan are coming to play a benefit for the Oral Cancer Foundation and you’re invited to share in the vibe and support a good cause. \\r\\nDeadBeat has been performing the original music of the Grateful Dead and its family of bands, as well as music covered by those groups, since 2005. With such a large catalog of music to draw from DeadBeat has the opportunity to bring their own unique style to the music, but also honor the flavor and flow that was the showmanship of the Grateful Dead. Just like the Dead, this six piece band plays authentic set lists each night that captivates their audiences.\\r\\nMark Karan, guitarist of Bob Weir & RatDog, The Other Ones, and his own project, Mark Karan’s Buds, will be joining DeadBeat to rock the house for a couple of jammin’ sets! Mark is best known for performing with the extended Grateful Dead family. For the last twelve years, he has anchored the lead guitar slot in Bob Weir & RatDog playing hundreds of shows to thousands of fans year-round. This is a wonderful opportunity to see one of the greatest players in the Dead family strut his stuff, up close and personal, with the backing of one of the area’s favorite Grateful Dead tribute bands!\\r\\n

BENEFIT CONCERT & DINNER EVENT

From 6:00PM to 11:00PM

The Mustard Seed Farm will be hosting a benefit concert, dinner and silent auction at 6:00pm on Saturday, March 29 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston. The evening features blues legend, JAMES MONTGOMERY. This event will help support their Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapy programs in Rhode Island. Our main goal is to offer a much needed service to the community we work within by providing therapy for veterans (Seeds of Courage program), special needs children/adults as well as education and provide health recreation for the public.
