Lauren Marvell, a nurse practitioner with Newport Pulmonary Medicine. Lauren is a certified family nurse practitioner, who brings more than 12 years of experience in surgical, oncology and intensive care settings. She can talk about the role of a nurse practitioner; about pulmonary medicine (they see folks with all kinds of lung and breathing issues, from COPD to asthma to sleep apnea and more); she can give tips on better breathing and keeping your lungs healthy (quit smoking! And she has good tips on how to do that effectively).
Erin Littlewood will also be here to talk about upcoming events.
Nickie Piermont is a clinical nurse specialist and health advocate with the Care Transitions team at Newport Hospital. She’ll join Erin for the second half of the show, and can talk about connecting patients with appropriate care, as they transition from or to a hospital stay…she works with many patients with pulmonary/respiratory issues, such as COPD
