Revenue from collections of the state hospitality taxes are on the rise.  The Department of Revenue says collection of the two main taxes on the hospitality industry were up by nearly five-percent in the fiscal year that ended June 30th.  The state collected over 25-million-dollars in total in hotel room and meal taxes during the year.  State Revenue Director Rosemary Booth Gallogly says the growth is welcome news, especially in the hotel room tax.
