Rose Island Lighthouse will be receiving a Rhody Award later this month.  The award will be presented by Preserve Rhode Island and the state Historical Society. Winners of the award are chosen by the public to honor projects, individuals and organizations for their contributions to the preservation of historic places in Rhode Island.  According to the Daily News, the lighthouse is one of 11 projects, places and people that will be honored.
