The controversy over the ballot question for the casino continues to grow. The Daily News reports that Jeffery Teitz, the former state chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, who wrote the section of the state constitution titled “Restriction on Gambling” said their should be two separate referendum on the establishment or expansion of gambling in any community. That would require a state referendum and a local referendum. The legislation approved in June by the general assembly only calls for one referendum question on the state ballot.
