The first case of the respiratory illness enterovirus in Rhode Island is being confirmed by public health officials.  The adult who had the virus was hospitalized briefly earlier this month, but has since returned home and recovered.  The Department of Health urges parents to be aware of the symptoms of enterovirus, as it most adversely affects children.  These symptoms are similar to a severe cold, including a fever, sore throat, sneezing and cough.
