The hearings on the Preservation Society of Newport County’s application for a special use permit to construct a visitors center at The Breakers has been postponed.  According to the Daily News, the Zoning Board of Reviews vice chairwoman, Lynn Ceglie,  recused herself to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest, leaving the board without enough members to have a quorum.  Ceglie is a candidate for the Ward 2 seat on the City Council. The hearings could be rescheduled as late as November.
