It appears that West Nile Virus activity is on the decline in Rhode Island.  State environmental officials say the latest round of mosquito trapping and testing shows no West Nile or Eastern Equine Encephalitis.  The state tested mosquitoes from 69 mosquito pools in various locations around Rhode Island.  The disease still remains present in the area, as Massachusetts and Connecticut have both reported positive West Nile tests.
