A professional race car driver is coming to Cranston to speak about the dangers of distracted driving. The Cranston Family Center and Triple-A are holding an event at Hugh B. Bain Middle School this Thursday. Andy Pilgrim, who is a driver for GM Racing's "Team Cadillac," will be leading the speech to discuss distracted driving and other traffic safety topics. Pilgrim started The Traffic Safety Education Foundation in 2013 and is hoping to bring more awareness to the life-threatening issue. Doors open at 6 p.m. Attendees are required to register online.
