At least two Rhode Island lawmakers are calling on Governor Raimondo to rescind the state's offer to help Syrian refugees. Doreen Costa took to Twitter to say, quote, "Please re-think welcoming refugees to Rhode Island," and later sent a letter directly to Raimondo. Robert Nardolillo echoed Costa's calls, also sending a letter to Raimondo saying that Rhode Island isn't immune to terrorist attacks. The ACLU has since issued a statement of its own expressing deep concerns about the calls from lawmakers.
