Next season will apparently be the last in the big leagues for "Big Papi." Fox Sports reports Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz will retire after the 2016 season. Ortiz turns 40-years-old today. He's coming off a season in which he hit .273 with 37 home runs and 108 RBI. Ortiz has spent 13 seasons with Boston after playing his first six years with the Minnesota Twins. He's won World Series titles with the Red Sox in 2004, 2007 and 2013. Ortiz is a nine-time All-Star with 503 career home runs and 1,641 RBI. He's also finished in the top-five of American League MVP voting five times.
