Law enforcement agencies in Rhode Island are teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to keep the roads safe. WPRI reports that MADD's annual Tie One On For Safety campaign encourages drivers to place a ribbon on their vehicles to emphasize the importance of designating a sober driver during the holiday season. Rhode Island State Police say that deadly accidents are down by eight-percent from this time last year. Extra patrols will be out in force over the next several weeks to look out for impaired drivers.
