Parking is free in Providence through the holiday season.  Mayor Jorge Elorza recently announced that shoppers can park at meters in certain districts free of charge for up to two hours.  The two-hour limit will be strictly enforcement, and people who overstay the limit will be ticketed.  Some participating districts include Bradford to Knight streets, Public to Montgomery streets and Rochambeau Avenue to Blackstone Boulevard.  Free parking will continue through January 1st.
