A Cranston officer is filing a formal claim asking for hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars, alleging that he was mistreated by his superior officers. Matthew Josefson recently filed the claim asking for 800-thousand-dollars from the city government for lost wages and benefits, as well as emotional distress. Josefson alleges that he was tricked into accepting a demotion. City officials and Josefson have tried to negotiate a plan that would give the officer a promotion but so far their efforts have been unsuccessful.
