(Foxboro, MA) -- The New England Patriots beat the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, 10-to-3. Marcus Jones won the game for the Pats with a late-game punt return touchdown. Jones, in his rookie season, returned the punt for 84 yards with five seconds left to give the Pats their sixth win of the season. New England is at Minnesota for the Thanksgiving evening game.

(Undated) -- An NBA trainer from Warwick is charged with drugging and raping someone in downtown Boston. Authorities arrested Robert McClanaghan in East Greenwich on Friday. The 43-year-old has worked with some of the biggest names in basketball, including Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook. McClanaghan is expected to be arraigned in Kent County Superior Court on Monday.

(Providence, RI) -- A Providence strip club is temporarily closed after a fatal stabbing in the parking lot. Police say a 26-year-old man from Fall River, Massachusetts died early Saturday after being confronted outside the Cadillac Lounge by other club patrons. Owner Dick Shappy said it was the first time anything like this had happened at the lounge in his 31 years in business.

(Undated) -- There were two fatal house fires in the Providence area over the weekend. One person died in a two-alarm fire in the Rhode Island capital city on Saturday night. The blaze was at a triple-decker on Lisbon Street. No identity was released. The district attorney's office in Bristol County, Massachusetts says a house fire on Division Street in Attleboro Friday morning killed 80-year-old Judith Henriques. Both incidents are under investigation.

(Cranston, RI) -- The Rhode Island Board of Elections has confirmed several general election races. The Providence Journal reports the recounts conducted on Friday included a defeat for Republican Justin Price, a state representative who took part in the January 6th, 2021 Trump rally in D.C. and blamed the ensuing violence on Antifa. Price, who represents Richmond, lost to Democrat Megan Cotter. Another incumbent, Democrat Bernard Hawkins of Smithfield, was unseated by Republican Brian Rea. Representative Camille Vella-Wilkinson of Warwick held on to her seat versus challenger Marie Hopkins.

(Newport, RI) -- The city of Newport has elected a new mayor. The Daily News reports Xaykham Khamsyvoravong [[ ZYE-com com-suh-VOR-a-vong ]] was unanimously chosen by the Newport City Council at a caucus last week. In keeping with the city's unique tradition of selecting who holds the office, Khamsyvoravong, the winner of an at-large council seat, was nominated by outgoing Mayor Jeanne-Marie Napolitano.
