It is with a great deal of sorrow that we announce the passing of our own Art Berluti. Art became part of the AM 1540 WADK family in 1981. Over the years, Art held many positions at the station such as DJ and music director, when the station played all music, then community program host, public service director and for the past decade, news director. Art was well-known on Aquidneck Island and spent many years promoting and supporting local non-profits and hosting many community events. After battling a number of health issues, Art Berluti, aged 63, died peacefully on July 15th. He will be greatly missed by all of us here at WADK. Please feel free to post a message or share a memory and we will share it with his friends and family.
